The wide leg is the silhouette of the moment — and also one of the most versatile there is. It works in romantic floral, in rose quartz denim, in classic twill. It works day or night, in the city or at the beach.
Why wide leg trousers?
The wide leg elongates the silhouette and creates movement. They're as comfortable as pyjamas but look like you've made an effort. And that's exactly what we want from a garment.
Rules for wearing them well
- High waist, always. Defines the silhouette and creates balance with the wide leg.
- Tighter top. Crocheted top, tucked-in blouse, open shirt — contrast is the key.
- Visible shoes. Mules, thin-strap sandals, heeled boots — the footwear must show from under the fabric.
- Forget trainers (unless they're really good). Platforms or high-tops work. Flat trainers get lost under the leg.
Our favourites
We have two interpretations of this trend in store: the Romantic Floral Wide Leg Trousers in white cotton twill with a floral print — cottagecore at its best — and the Rose Quartz Wide Leg Trousers in dyed denim, a unique piece, for those who literally want to be the only one with that look.
